What liquid disinfectant should be used in animal husbandry ?

The choice of disinfectants depends on :
- its bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal activity;
- how it is applied and its dosage (spraying, soaking, aerial application);
- its impact on equipment and the environment (chemical risk);
- its impact on animal and human health (toxicity).

This information should be supplied by the manufacturer (see the technical files and safety data sheets).

In animal husbandry (all species) : a bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal disinfectant is recommended for the first disinfection of buildings.

In hatcheries: the use of a bactericidal and fungicidal disinfectant is enough (LCB 130B).
