How do I disinfect my hog buildings ?
Disinfection operations in hog buildings are designed to reduce pathogenic germ contamination (Salmonella, Campylobacter, faecal Streptococci, Listeria, Pseudomonas, Aspergillus, etc.).
An initial disinfection should be performed after cleaning operations, by spraying a disinfectant over all surfaces: bactericide, fungicide and virucide. A second, aerial disinfection, by thermal fogging or ultradiffusion, can be performed one or two days before the animals arrive.
The purpose is to cover hard-to-reach surfaces and to reduce any bio-contamination in the air.
